Well I've got some exciting news, for me anyway. I've been entering some competitions with some of my photos and winning! 2 recent wins:
I mentioned recently that I was entering a small competition entitled "Detail in Macro". This was being held by deviantART - an art and photography website that I am a member of. Great community. Results were posted today and I won with this photo:
Been getting heaps of comments and congratulations on there. The prize was $50 and a year's subscription to the site. First prize I've won!
Between you and me, I reckon the guy that got second place should have won. No idea why they chose mine over his, but I'll take it :)
Second comp I've had success at recently was Brisbane's Ekka! They have a photography competition there. I didn't even think of entering, but Kristy talked me into it. I submitted 3 photos, and this one got 4th Place, High Commendation:
