Kristy - for comments on the colours and also pointing me in the direction of some other websites to look at for ideas. Oh, and also for putting up with the hours I spend in front of a computer.
W3 Schools for their website on web authoring. I refer to it all the time as an HTML, CSS, and PHP reference.
Chris Pederick's Home Page - I came across his home page because I had downloaded Web Developer, the excellent award-winning Firefox extension he wrote. I liked the look of his home page, looked at his source code and stylesheets and learnt much from just that.
Mark James' site famfamfam for the great icons I used on these pages. Props again to Chris Pederick, his site uses the same icons.
Dave Raggett's beginner HTML pages were the first pages I came across when trying to learn HTML and CSS.
Too many replies in too many newsgroups to mention them individually, but I would like to say thanks to the usenet community at large. You can achieve so much in the computing world with the tireless, around the clock, free support of the helpful folk in newsgroups as a whole.
Other useful sites or software utilised while writing these pages: Vim text editor, GIMP image editing, Imagemagick console-based image editing, Ubuntu linux operating system, Apache web server, PHP, Perl programming language, Stop Design website, PuTTY ssh client.
